MMPA is honored to present work selected from the personal collection of prominent gallerist and curator Nancy Davidson. Davidson has greatly influenced the promotion and appreciation of art in the region, often championing lesser-known artists and helping them gain national recognition. Noted for organizing exhibitions that highlight contemporary art, Davidson was the founding curator for the Maine Jewish Museum in Portland, a position she held from 2013 to 2024. She continues to curate, collect and promote Maine artists, perhaps most popularly through her annual Critter Exhibitions, which showcase a variety of artists and their interpretations of animals.
